Swimming in NFC 2023 will be either for fun or competitive at different locatons on different days. We also encourage swimming as part of your NFC 30 X 30 challenge (30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days). To get started you need a place to swim and appropriate swim suits. It is not safe to go swimming alone or to swim in a location where there isn’t a life guard for safety purposes. We also encourage swimming coaches to utilize NFC 2023 to populate their swimming classes by registering as partners. Group swimming helps motivation and support, so we intend to identify swimming groups. This will avail the possiblity for you to make friends and become part of a social group, giving you the chance to compete at a higher level.

This is a kind of swimming for all ages. Fun swimming games like water polo, cannonbal contest, octupus tag, marco polo etc. will be organized and in some cases, prizes will be won. Informations on locations, dates, times and what to bring for each game will be made avalable soon.

This swimming competition will consist of 8 events for each category (male and female) and the winners will be determined based on total number of points accumulated after participation. The 8 events include 50m and 100m races in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly for participants under 18 years of age. There will be heat-final, whereby the heat will be based on timing in comparison to all competitors not just those of a particular batch, and those with the best timing will proceed to the final. The first prize for each category will be ₦25,000, second prize will be ₦15,000 and third prize will be ₦10,000, while registration will be free. The competition is designated to hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and the dates in October 2023 will be made available soon as well as the exact location. Registered participants will be required to provide their birth certificates during screening and will be automatically disqualified if they are unable to prove convincingly that they are below 18 years of age. On registering, information required by you will be made available via email and telephone correspondence, which include mode of payment. This swimming event co-ordinator is Mr Eric Williams. We are organizing a swimming competition for employees of coporate entities to participate in during NFC 2023. The competition will consist of 4 events for each category (male and female) and the winners will be determined based on total number of points accumulated ater participation. The 4 events are 50m races in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. There will be a heat-final, whereby the heat will be based on timing in comparison to all competitors not just those of a particular batch, and those with the best timing will move to the final. We hope to engage employees of corporate entities in fitness activities such as this to promote healthy lifestyle among employees of corporate entities during and after NFC 2023.
