The attendance was drawn from different ministries and parastatals, with the state ministry of Health leading the way. Youths constitute the majority of the participants with the chunk of them coming from different make-shift gyms that are spread all over the cities around Lagos and Port Harcourt. NFC 2023 (30 x 30) recorded some appreciable number of Adults, mostly women who participated actively in different aerobics. The time frame is 30 minutes exercise, but the participants especially the women were obviously not satisfy as they were appealing that the time should be extended.
Trained and certified coaches where drawn from different sports to officiate and supervise the participants. Medical doctors were deployed to different areas to help ascertain people’s health conditions before joining the exercise to avoid glitches .Doctors and medical staff were also deployed to handle emergency situations as a precautionary measure.
The NFC 2023 (30X30) had about 1000 participants participating actively in Lagos and Port Harcourt. This was due to the short time of preparation of this pilot. We are looking forward to more participants in the NFC 2024 (30X30) edition and more cities in Nigeria. .
